(Text provided by Homes England): Architecturally inspiring buildings with a strong environmental focus seamlessly into an established residential neighbourhood. The accommodation for dementia sufferers is arranged in 2 loops of 12 dwellings focused onto courtyard gardens. Communal living spaces and kitchens are located at the heart of each loop. Natural materials and vibrant colours stimulate the residents, whilst ground source heat pumps and green roofs keep the building warm in winter and cool in summer with minimal use of energy. The relatives of dementia sufferers are accommodated within the development however they have their own apartments with a separate entrance where they can overlook their relatives whilst having a degree of privacy.
